Scarecrows on the Farm

Bring the kiddos to the farm for a some scarecrow making fun. We will provide tons of old clothes and materials, but you’re more than welcome to bring fun things like hats and gloves as well. More info: email Sarah

Turkey Shoot

Sunday, October 21 @10am • Field of Dreams • 121 Bushee Drive (on Jackson Crossroad)
Look for an orange 3G outdoor Sports sign and Field of Dreams sign at the bottom of the driveway. Drive straight on up. LONG RANGE SHOOT. 100yds shot, 175yds shot, 250yds shot  Entree fee: $20 includes 3 shots per target. You will use any caliber rifle of your choice. Sub Night

Tuesday, October 23 5:00pm – 7:30pm • American Legion Post 90 on Route 7 The American Legion Auxiliary would like to let you know that we will be doing a Sub Night on Thursday October 25th, Stop by for a bite or two. Subs will be made to order. Served with chips and pickle. Take-out orders are available by calling 802-823-4626

 


Pownal Valley 4-H Sharpshooters

Thursday, October 25 @6pm • Pownal Valley Firehouse (corner of Rte 7 and N. Pownal Rd.)

The Pownal Valley 4-H Sharpshooters is a 4-H Shooting Sports Club that meets at the Pownal Valley Firehouse (corner of North Pownal Rd and Rt 7) every other Thursday night at 6pm for the winter. They work with kids aged 8-18 (as of Jan 1) in 6 disciplines – rifle, pistol, shotgun, muzzleloader, archery and wildlife. Their primary focus is to teach safe firearm handling skills, while developing life skills such as sportsmanship, teamwork, listening, respect and many others. For the winter, they have an indoor air rifle/pistol and archery range, plus they do shotgun shell reloading and many other activities. In the summer, they meet weekly at the Hale Mt Fish and Game Club in Shaftsbury. The Sharpshooters are having their first winter meeting on 10/25 and would love to have some new members join our group. More info: email Jeni Slattery

Halloween Spooktacular

Pownal Elementary • 94 Schoolhouse Rd.
Family Friendly Fun Event. Open to the public. FREE door prizes, bounce house, games, prizes, photo booth, balloon animals, fortune teller, dance party, and more! There will also be a bake sale and raffle table. Presented by Pownal Elementary’s PTG. More info: (802) 823-7333

Trunk or Treat on the Farm

Help us create a Pownal Halloween Trunk-or-Treat. We will have fun activities forkids, a safe place to come get some treats and a costume contest. Please message me to sign up to distribute candy.
